Meeting Minutes for 3 October 2024

The meeting was called to order at 1903 with nine members present.

The Sergeant-At-Arms posted the colors and lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance.

The adjutant read the opening prayer.

All of the officers were present with the exception of the Chaplain who was excused.

The minutes of the last meeting were presented. Bill Kiernan made the motion to accept the minutes with Cody Dumont seconding the motion and the motion passed.

A letter from The Friendly Kitchen requesting a donation was read and a motion was made by Bill Kiernan to donate $100.00. The motion was seconded by Reggie LaClair and passed unanimously.

The paymaster’s report was reviewed. Bill Kiernan mad the motion to accept with Reggie LaClair seconding and the report was accepted.

Under Sick and Distressed, the Adjutant reported that a former member of the Dillon Detachment (and current member of the Granite State Detachment) had passed. Previous to the meeting, Chaplain Westover was informed and replied that he would send a sympathy card from Dillon. Cody Dumont reported he had talked to Carol Delbridge and that she was better than she was, but still sick.

This year’s Birthday ball was discussed and awards, prices, etc. were all discussed. A motion was made to charge $40.00 per person to attend the Ball to be held at Alan’s in Boscawen. The ball would begin at 1700 (5pm). The motion was seconded by Cody Dumont and passed unanimously.

Next Month’s meal will be provided by Bill Kiernan with the dessert being provided by Meleny Nagy.

The Senior Vice read closing remarks.

The meeting closed at 2008 hours. The next meeting will be held on 7 November 2024.
