Opening Ceremony: ActingSgt/Arms Chuck Houston opened the meeting at 1830 and opening prayer was given by Chaplain Mike Harnish. 11 Detachment Members were present.
Roll Call of Officers: Sr Vice Cmdt Mark Lindsley, Jr. Vice Cmdt Dave Winters (arrived later in the meeing) , and Sgt/Arms Bill Kiernan were excused or absent. Others present.
Applications for Membership: None. Cmdt will invite those that have signed up as interested at the latest recruiting events.
Minutes from Previous Meeting – 6/6/19 Minutes: Minutes were distributed and reviewed by the membership. Motion made to accept the minutes as presented by Judge Adv Reggie LaClair, seconded by Bob Selig; there was no discussion; motion passed unanimously.
Correspondence: None.
Paymaster Report: Report was distributed and reviewed. Motion made to accept the report as presented by LaClair, duly seconded by Sean Heichlinger. There was no discussion; motion passed unanimously.
Reimbursement of Expenses:
Cody Dumont – Market Days $205 (printing) + 36.90 (tent items); + Deerfield Fair $207; + Hopkington Fair $385; Andover $35 = $627 less $33 for Marines Fighting Hunger personal match, for total reimbursement of $594.
Mike Harnish – Market Days $17.57 for ice and supplies.
Bryan Westover – Market Days $110 for dunk tank deposit.
Motion made to reimburse all three in full by LaClair, duly seconded by Dan Fedor. There was no discussion; motion passed unanimously.
Sick and In Distress:
Bill Kiernan – still doesn’t have all clear from doctor for his knee. Charlie Frye – Having some good days and some bad days. Chaplain to send them both get well cards.

Upcoming Events:
– July 13 (Sat) – Pittsfield Old Home Day (parade @ 1100, booth @ 0700). Cody & others will man the booth, Sean will drive the float, not enough volunteers available for a color guard.
– July 21 (Sun), 10:30 AM, Breakfast Social, Gilmanton Winery (reservation for 10).
– Aug 1 – Tilton Vet Home Cruise Night. 5pm volunteers to help escort residents and the Silent Grill Team will prepare the food. Many hands needed.
– Aug 10 (Sat) – Poolee Picnic: Odell Park, Franklin has been reserved. Event from 9 AM to 3 PM. All hands needed. Cody will purchase food, Chuck will bring tables and chairs. Cmdt will send an email for food list and what’s needed to help.
– Aug 17 (Sat) – Salute Troops Car Show, Merrimack. Cmdt will provide more info.
– Aug 30-Sept 2 (Fri-Mon) – Hopkinton Fair. Booth from 7 AM to 10 PM all 4 days – need help selling shirts & recruiting. 30% of sales of shirt is ours, with no up-front costs.
– Sep 7 (Sat) 9 AM-5 PM & Sep 8 (Sun) 9 AM-2 PM, Concord Gun Show @ Everett Arena. Mark can use help with raffle ticket sales and recruiting at the table.
– Sep 22 (Sun) 11 AM Dept NH Quarterly Meeting & Growl, American Legion,
7 Perley St, Concord. All are invited and encouraged to attend.
– Sept 26-29 (Thurs–Sun) Deerfield Fair. Need help selling shirts & recruiting for all 4 days.
Recent Events – after action reports:
– June 20-22 (Thurs-Sat) – Market Days, Main St, Concord. Recruiters were a big help in the dunk tank. Winters had a great time drawing in a crowd. Cleared $842 after all expenses.
– Jun 23 (Sun) 11 AM Dept NH Quarterly Meeting & Growl, American Legion. Brief given by
Cmdt. Asked for a Det Scout Chair, receiving none, the Cmdt will do it.
– July 4 (Thurs) Andover Parade (booth and color guard): Thank you to Color Guard (Dumont,
Westover, Fedor & Harnish) and those that helped at the booth.
– July 6 Bradford Parade. Color guard was rained out, but still did the float.

Unfinished Business
-Trailer / Float modifications: Pending.
-Marines Fighting Hunger food drive: We still need to issue and present a $166 check to the Friendly Kitchen for funds collected at Market Days. Andover collected $33, Dumont matched it – need to issue and present a $66 check to the local food pantry.
New Business
Appointment of Officers (change in positions): Commandant [President] Cody Dumont appointed Michael Harnish as the new Adjutant/Paymaster [Secretary/Treasurer] and Bryan Westover as the new Chaplain. This change is effective immediately upon official update/change of check writing authority by the bank.
Good of the League:
-Next Meeting’s Meal: Scheduled for September 5th. Danny Fedor volunteered to make the meal.
-Awards: Sean Heichlinger was presented with his MCL Membership Pin.
-Marines’ Hymn: Westover briefed that the next change to the Marine Corps Drill and ceremony may require all Marines to sing the hymn when it is played.
Announcements:
-After LaClair discussed the tragedy of the seven motorcyclist killed during a charity ride in NH, a motion was made to donate $100 to the Victims and Families Support Go Fund Me fundesented by LaClair, seconded by Bob Selig; there was some discussion on the Jarheads Motorcycle Club and that one of the deceased was planning to join our Detachment; motion passed unanimously. Paymaster Westover to donate online with his personal credit card and be reimbursed.
Closing Ceremony conducted; next meeting – informally at the Tilton Veterans Home for the Cruise Night in August and then formally Sept 5th for a regular meeting. Meeting closed at 1915.
