CAPT.GARY S.. DILLON DET. #734 MINUTES OF THE 5 NOVEMBER MEETING 2015
The meeting started with the Traditional Cake cutting ceremony. The first piece was presented to the oldest member who then passed it to the youngest member after which Gunner Westover read the Commandant’s Birthday message. Cmdt. Lindsley then cut cake for all those in attendance.
- The Sgt/arms opened the meeting at 19:00 hrs.
- The opening prayer was given by Gunner Westover Roll call of Officers: Sgt/Arms & Chaplain positions still vacant.
- Minutes of the Oct. meeting were passed.
- Motion by Decorse 2nd by Mclaren.
- The Paymaster’s report was passed by voice vote.
- Motion by Selig 2nd by McLaren.
- OFFICER’S REPORT:
- Jr/Vice reported on the past dropouts and advised National on his results
- Sick & Distressed:
- Al Plourde, Fred Osgood & Wayne Morgan.
- Correspondence: Info.
- On Mid winter…Christmas Lights…..
- OLD BUSINESS:
- Request from the Concord Holiday Parade committee. Tabled last month. Was discussed .
- New Business:
- Election of Officers. The current slate of Elected Officers agreed to remain in office. Installation will take place Dec. 6th at the Makris Lobster Pool, 11am to 3pm.
- Motion to Donate $200 for the Marine Raider Monument was passed.
- Cmdt. Lindsley swore in our newest member, Joseph Spataro.
- Good of the League:
- Upcoming events were passed by the Cmdt.
- Donna Melason was awarded a certificate of appreciation for her work on the yard sale.
- She was also appointed as our new Chaplain.
- Cmdt. Lindsley held the yearly inspection of our M-1 Rifles.
- Next meeting is on December 3rd.
