Our detachment sadly lost one of our own towards the end of August.
Robert Joseph Gallagher, 70, of Concord passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015 following a period of declining health.
Robert was born in Boston, MA on February 7, 1945. He was raised and educated in Roxbury and spend most of his working years in security and law enforcement. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam and was awarded several medals, ribbons and commendations for his honorable service. Robert moved to New Hampshire in 2001 after meeting Donna Melanson on a cruise aboard the Mt. Washington. Robert was active in the Marine Corps League. He enjoyed home improvement projects, gardening and travel and he adored his cats. Robert was also an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan.
May Bobby have fair winds and following seas, as he moves on to his next assignment of guarding the heavenly gates.
